A team of RPI students is casting for a professional short film. The director and editor are experienced professionals and the film will be screened at local and national film festivals. All cast and crew will receive imdb credit, and a dvd copy of the film. Dinner will also be provided each evening.
The film is a five minute psychological thriller, the synopsis follows:
Bonn is an ordinary seeming woman caring for her young child. She is working in her quiet home office, but there is something sinister going on. A scratching, a groaning, a thumping from the closet in the child’s room. Despite the baby monitor, Bonn does not hear it. But when she finally investigates the closet, we gain a shockingly new perspective.
Shooting will take place the first week in April, on 3 consecutive evenings. Please submit a headshot and demo reel, or list any experience to receive a copy of the script and be considered for audition.
We are currently seeking to fill the following roles:
Lead Actress, Caucasian, must appear late 20’s – to early 40’s. Must have previous acting experience and be able to sing a lullaby. There is very little dialogue. Physical acting ability is important in this image and audio driven film. Also if you have a headshot with and without make up, please send.
Pay: $250 per night x 3 (6 – 8 hour nights, most likely 6PM – Midnight).
Child Actor / Actress, Caucasian, must appear 1-10 months. Parent or guardian must be present. We will be patient and take frequent breaks, the child’s comfort and safety is the first priority.
Pay: $400 for a few hours one evening.
Supporting Actress, Caucasian, must appear 20’s – early 30’s. Must not be claustrophobic.
Pay: $200 for 1/2 night.
Voice Actor, Race and Age unimportant.
Pay: Credit and copy for one hour in recording studio.
